Swamiji New Year Message on 14 April 2009 On 14-04-2009, Guruji gave a Special New Year Message to about 600 + people gathered in Ganesh Mandali, Nanganallur. This message was broadcasted live in Internet and was viewed by Hundreds of devotees from about 18 countries around the world. Sudharsana homam at Ekambareshwarar temple Sudharsana homam was conducted on Tamil New Year day at Ekambareshwarar temple, Nanmangalam, Chennai on 14-04-09 at 9.00 am in the presence of Swamiji. In his discourse Sri Swamiji explained about the importance of Sudharsana homam. The name Sudharsana means that He is the beautiful One, who shows us the auspicious path of reaching His Lord. Those who have sambhandham to Sudharsana Azhwaar have their paths lit to follow the way to Sriman Narayanan. The Sudharsana Manthra japam and Sudharsana homam will make us free from all kinds of fears. The homam starts thereafter to the accompaniment of 108 or 1008 repetitions (aavrutthi) manthras punctuated by the sacred offerings into the consecrated Agni Kuntam. The homam concluded with a Poornahuthi into the sacred fire.

Swamiji meets sidhar swamigal Sri Swamiji visited Mahadeva malai, Near Vellore. on 13-04-09 and met Siddhar Swamigal. The Jeyanthi function of Siddar Swamigal falls on 14-04 -09. Siddhar Swamigal welcomed Sri Swamiji with garland and they both discussed about Universal peace during the Year 2009. Siddar Swamigal also explained about the new temple project undertaken.

Dhanvathri homam at Padavati Amman Temple Dhanvathri homam was conducted on the occasion of PANGUNI UTHIRAM at Padavati Amman Temple, Nanganallur, Chennai on 12-04-09 at 11.30 am in the presence of Swamiji. In his speech Guruji asked to do the activities by dedicating it to God and NOT for satisfying any individuals. Guruji also stressed that we should not expect any credit from public and should do activities in unselfish manner.

Shri Swamiji's Yatra to Mumbai March 2009 Day 1 @ Mumbai - 27-03-09 : ShrilaShri Kamakshi Swamiji Arrived at Mumbai Kalyan station on 27-03-09 morning along with his Sevarthis. Swamiji was received by Mr Ramesh Iyer & family. After giving Blessings to devotees gathered in large numbers at Ramesh Iyer's place, Sri Swamiji proceeded his divine yatra to Shree Kshetra Shakthipeet, Thuljapur Bhavani Temple. (One of the 51 Shaktipeetams) Located near Sholapur Swamiji was received by the temple priest for a special darshan. The Bhavani temple in Tuljapur is located on a hill known as Yamunachala, on the slopes of the Sahayadri range in Maharashtra near Sholapur. The temple entrance is at an elevation and visitors need to transcend a flight of steps to reach the shrine. Historic records speak of the existence of this temple from as early as the 12th century CE. Bhavani is worshipped in the form of a three foot high granite image, with eigh arms holding weapons, bearing the head of the slain demon Mahishasura. Bhavani is also known as Tulaja, Turaja, Tvarita and Amba.Legend has it that a demon by name Matanga wreaked havoc upon the devas and the humans who approached Bhrahma for help and upon his advice turned to the Mother Goddess Shakti, who took up the form of the destroyer, and powered by the other (Sapta) Maataas Varaahi, Bhrahmi, Vaishnavi, Kaumaari, Indraani and Saambhavi and vanquished him to enable to peace to reign again.Legend also has it that Bhavani vanquished another demon who had taken the form of a wild buffalo (Mahisha), and took abode on the Yamunachala hill, which is now home to the temple.Four worship services are offered each day here. The festivals of significance here are Gudi Padva in the month of Chaitra, Shriral Sashti, Lalita Panchami, Makara Sankranti and Rathasaptami. The deity is taken out in procession on Tuesdays. Navaratri is also celebrated with great fanfare, and it culminates in Vijaya Dasami. Day 2 @ Mumbai - 28-03-09 : Swamiji proceeded to another most sacred place in Akkalkot 40 Kms from Sholapur. This is the place where Swami Samarth, most revered Saint across Maharashtra had lived and taken Samadhi. Akkalkot Maharaj is believed to be an incarnation of Shri Dattatreya the name of this spiritual master, popularly called Swami Samarth, is a household word in Maharashtra and the region around. As this Perfect Master chose to reside at a place called Akkalkot for 22 years where he took Mahasamadhi (left his mortal body) in 1878, he is also known as the Maharaj of Akkalkot, Akkalkot is situated in district Solapur of Maharashtra state of India. For the devotees of Shri Shirdi Sai Baba, it would be inspiring to learn about the life and deeds of 'Swami Samarth'. A comparative picturisation of the lives of these two great Saints, i.e. Swami Samarth and Shri Sai Baba of Shirdi would establish a surprising amount of commonness in their lives and deeds which includes their methods of teaching, the universality of their approach and the miracles they performed. The day Shri Swamiji went was incidentally "Prakat Din" the avatar day i.e. Shri Swami Samarth appeared. Shri Kanchi Kamakoti Maha Swamiji in his Digvijay yatra Stayed here for 3 months. Later Swamiji also visited the Solappa temple where Lord Dattatreya appeared in the form of Shri Narashima Saraswathy, 2nd avatar of Dattatreya after shreepad Vallabh Maharaj Wherin Swamiji was given a warm welcome to have darshan of Dattatreya's Padukas and special Aarti was offered to lord Dattatrey. Swamiji then Procedeed back to Kalher to Mr Ramesh Iyer's house. Day 3 @ Mumbai - 29-03-09 : Shri Swamiji accepted pada pooja of Mr.Krishnan & family at Brahmand and gave Arul Urai to all devotees till evening and proceeded back to Kalher , After finishing his evening Anushthanam at Mr Ramesh Iyer's house and proceeded back to Chennai.

6th year Thirumurai music Aradhana function 22-03-2009 at 11.00 a.m.. Sri Swamiji participated in Thirumurai Theiva Tamil Esai Mandaram's 6th year Thirumurai music Aradhana function at Raja Annamalai mandram, Parrys. Srimath Sundara Murthy Thambiran Swamigal from Thiruvadudurai Mutt participated in the function, the function has been celebrated every year for 10 days in order to develop & motivate tamil literacy and honour traditional musicians.

Swamiji Malaysia visit 19 Mar 2009 Thursday 19th February 2009 At the request of devotees in Malaysia , Guruji Shri La Shri Kamakshi Swamiji arrived in KL International Airport from Chennai in the early hours. Guruji was warmly received at the KLIA by prominent committee members Bharatiraja, Bala, Durai, Ranjan Kumar and others. Guruji and team travelled to Kaajang from there. The committee had arranged Guruji's Arulvakku in Shri Kaikoodum Karumariamman temple complex at Kajaang where scores of people attended and got the privilege of his divine utterance. It could be seen that people from all walks of life had attended and utilized the rare opportunity. In the evening Guruji offered his speech where the message was to `do things by dedicating it to God and not for satisfying any individuals' . Guruji also stressed `not to' expect any credit from public' and do activities in unselfish manner. Friday 20th February 2009 Early in the morning at the request of devotee Shri Ravi, Guruji visited his office in Kajaang and accepted pada puja by his family. Guruji visited Tamil school at Westcountry and was warm received by the principal Ms. Jeyalakshmi and staff. Guruji addressed about 500 young students and spoke to them about importance of value education which combines study and discipline. Guruji speech was interactive in nature with kids answering enthusiastically to his queries and following various moral stories told during the speech. The speech was followed by dedicating a printer machine to the school by Ms. Raja rajeswari through golden hands of Shri Guruji. Guruji offered his Arul vakku for second day in Shri Kaikoodum Karumariamman temple complex where at the request of committee members, Guruji extended Asirvadham to many people and they all went very happy and satsifed. Guruji accepted the pada puja at the residence of Shri Ranjan Kumar a senior business man and committee member at Kajaang. This was followed by his temple visit later in the evening where Guruji was warmly received at " Shri Ucchi Pillayar Temple " in Kajaang. Here traditional welcome was extended by temple authorities which was followed by Anugraha Bhaashanam of Guruji. Guruji in his speech eloquently spoke on the origin of the Ganesha/ Pillayar worship through sacred grass (Arugam pull) and puffed rice (nel pori). Guruji spoke on Adi sankara's contribution to sanathana dharama or hindu religion through codification of six forms of worship namely Ganapathyam, Kaumaram, Chowram, Vaishnavism, Saivam and Saktham being worship of Ganesha, Muruga, Surya, Vishnu, Shiva and Mother Goddess respectively. Guruji stressed to the Malaysian people the need for following basic tenets of sanathana dharma like avoiding worldly discussions inside the temple, not to prostrate to any one inside the temple etc. thereby every one's focus should be on praying GOD and only GOD in the temple. Guruji's speech was followed by Anna Prasadam organized by temple authorities headed by Shri Ganesan who praised our Guruji for bringing out in his speech those cultural aspects which are needed for Malaysian tamil people. Later in the evening Guruji visited the clinic of Dr.Muthu a famous orthopadecian in Sime Darby Medical center in Subang Jaya before returning to the base camp at Kajaang. Saturday 21st February 2009 Early in the morning at the request of devotee Shri Saravanan, Guruji visited his office in Brick field area enroute to KL city and blessed them all. Guruji offered his Arul vakku for third day in Shri Kaikoodum Karumariamman temple complex where Guruji extended Ashirvadham to many people and they all went very happy and satsifed. Some of the people who sought blessings came from over 400 kms while others expressed immense satisifaction on his darshan and narrated the miracles in their life. In the evening enroute to Johor Guruji accepted the pada puja at the residence of Shri Murthy a devotee. Later in the evening Guruji left for Permas Jaya in Johor state and reached Parmas Jaya where he was reverently received Shri Bala, his family and friends. Guruji offered blessings and in his brief speech touched on the importance of bakthi and guru in each life. Sunday 22nd February 2009 At 7 in the morning at the request of devotee Dr Kannna Guruji visited his home in Permas Jaya, accepted pada puja and blessed them all. Guruji offered his Arul vakku at Shri Bala's residence where Guruji extended Asirvatham to about hundred people and one could see them all highly contended and happy. Later In the day Guruji accepted pada puja at shri Maran's house at Kotta Tingi a town in Johor state and proceeded towards small town Muar. Guruji had earlier in the day accepted a request to visit one of the temples at Muar. Here temple who manage the temple were guided by Guruji on the future development plans and proposed kumbabishekam. This event was really touching as they were extremely glad that person of guruji's stature had accepted their request and took time to visit this interior place and blessed them all. Swamiji Navagraha yatra 13 Feb 2009 13-Feb-2009 - Guruji started for Navagraha Kshetram/Kumbakonam Yatra on 13th morning 5 AM along with 19 other devotees. - On route Guruji visited Adhiparashakthi temple at Melmaravathur, near Chengulpet where Adigalar's son arranged for Special darshan - Guruji participated in Sri Subramania Ganapadigal Veda Sadhas organized by Sri Chandran at Shankara Mutt, Thiruvadamarudur. Guruji was received with Poorna kumbha amidst chanting of the veda mantra "Anando Brahmeti"…. ending with "Mahan Keerthya". Guruji in his divine discourse to Ritviks explained how Veda continues to protect us. Guruji performed Abhishekam to Adi shankara Bhagawat Pada's padam & Sri Mahalinga Swamy (Lord Shiva with hands emanating out of Linga in Anugraha Position) - Visited Swamimalai, One of the Aru Padai veedu for Lord Muruga. Swaminatha Swamy was decorated with Diamond (Vaira) Kappu - Visited Pratyankara Devi Temple at Iyyavadi, Goddess exits with a Lion Head and a human body. Special Pooja's and Homam's are performed on Ammavasai Day with Red Chillies which is considered very auspicious. - Visited Uppuliappan Koil (elder brother of Swami Venkatachalapathy) . Prasadams are made with out Salt hence the name "Uppu-Illa-Appan" - Visited Rahu Bhagwan temple at Thirunageshwaram - Visited Nachayar Koil/ Sreenivasa Perumal Koil where first honour is given to Goddess Lakshmi (Nachayar) unlike in other Vishnu Temples, also has the famous Kal Garudar Statue which gains weight after it crosses each stage (lifted by 2,4,8,16,32, 64 people) 14-Feb-2009 - Visited Lord Surya Narayana Temple - Visited Thiruvadamarudur Mahalingaswamy Temple & Aghora Veerabhadra Swamy Temple (Kula Daivam of Maha Periyava) - Visited Kanchi Shankara Mutt, Thiruvadamarudur. Guruji accepted Rig Veda Sankalpa in Sadas performed in a traditional way by President awardee Rig Veda Ritvik Vijay Bhanu - Visited the temple of Shukra Bhagwan where Lord Shukra exists inside Lord Shiva and known as Agneeshwarar - Visited Govindapuram, Sri Muralidhara Swamigal Mani Mantapam, Sri Bhodhendara Swami Adhistanam (kanchi Kamakoti Peetadhipathi 59th Jagath Guru)/Krishna Premi Hall, also visited Gho Shala where devotees fed the cows with Avithi Keerai - Visited Bhaskararaya puram, who first wrote Bhashyam for Lalitha Sahasranamam, Pooja's to Maha meru is performed daily. It is also believed to be the first place where Sri Vidya Mantram was first chanted. SSKSS ladies chanted Lalitha Sahasranamam Trishathi (300 Nos) in front of the Goddess Lalitha and Maha Meru - Visited Vaitheeshwaram Koil and had darshan of Vaidyanatha Swamy, Thayyal Nayagi Ambal and Lord Mars/Angharakan - Visited Alangudi Guru Bhagwan temple - Visited Pateeshwaram Durga temple where Ambal is in Lakshmi Swaroopam with a parrot - Visited Lord Chandran Temple at Thingalur 15-Feb-2009 - Visited Thirumeeyachur Lalithambika. Lord Surya as requested by Lord Shiva prayed to relieve from his sins, Lord Surya became impatient and cried. Goddess got angry at the sun for shouting in Their abode. The God pacified her saying sun was looking for relief. (This Pacifying scene is depicted by the sculpture ) One of the key attraction of this temple is this sculpture where Lord Shiva is holding parvati's cheeks ...its said that Lord is pacifying the mother of universe. In one angle the sculpture goddess appears to be in anger on the other angle she looks calm. By His Grace sun was cured. The pacified Goddess does austerities getting the name "Shantanayaki" . Sun worships the Lord with his rays falling on the Lord from 21st to 27th of Chithirai Masam. SSKSS Ladies chanted Lalitha Sahasranamam as this is an auspicious place to chant. - Visited Ketu Bhagwan Temple at Kezha Perumpallam. - Visited Koothanur Saraswathi where many devotees got new pens, Pencils, note books etc. blessed by Goddess Saraswathi - Visited Budhan Bhagwan temple at Thiruvengadu - Visited Veda Patashala started by Maha Periyava, Photo Exhibition of Maha Periyava at Thiruvengadu. Swamiji blessed the Veda Acharyas who were teaching in the Patashala - Visited Amritakadeswarar - Abirami Temple of Tirukkadaiyur associated with the legends of Markandeya & Abirami pattar. When Devas & Asuras churned parkadal to get Amirtham, they forgot to Worship Lord Ganesa, Lord Ganesa stole the pot of Amirtham & kept at Thirukadiyur and is believed that the Sivalingam in this temple is made of Amirtha Kudam . Markandeya, son of sage Mrikandu was predicted to live for only 16 years. Hence Markandeya worshipped Amritakadeswarar bringing the water from Ganges through an underground passage to the temple. - Visited Shani Bhagwan temple at Thirunallar

English New Year 2009 celebration at SSKSS On the occassion of the English New Year 2009, Special Pooja's, Homam's were conducted by SSKSS under the guidance of ShreeLaShree Kamakshi Swamiji at Ganesh Mandali, Nanganallur, Chennai. The function commenced early morning at 05:30 with Guru Vandanam, Eka Dasa Rudra Japam & Homam, followed by a special divine discourse by Guruji. Guruji's Yatra to Rajamundry (Andhra Pradesh) on April 9th, 2008 Guruji stopped by at Vijayawada at 7 AM where he was given a warm welcome by his devotees. After spending some time, he left to Rajamudry at 2 PM. He went to Mr Somayajulu's house where he was received with vedic chanting. He visited some local temples like Siddhi Vinayagar temple, Kshana Marutheeshwarar temple, Jagan Mohini, Kamanaleshwarar temple before leaving to chennai.

He also met the Present Amma Guru (Sai Amma). On 05/09/2007 Swamiji Visited Vedapuri Gurukulam in Dandakaranya forest, about 50 miles away from Nagpur. Arsha Vijnana Gurukulam is a centre for learning of Vedas and Vedandas founded by Dr.Shrikant Jichkar under the guidance of Poojya Sri Swami Dhayananda Saraswathi . The Ashram is presently run by Swamini Brahmaprakasananda (Mathaji) chief Acharya of the Gurukulam. She Teaches Vedas, Vedantas, Upanishads, Bhagavath Gita and Brahma Sutra with the commentary of Shri Adi Shankaracharya. There is the Temple of Lord Dakshnamoorthy (Main Diety) along with Lord Ganesa, Krishna and Lord Shiva named Vedavedanteswara ,the pooja was done in the Natural Light by Mathaji. Visit to Sri Padamja Mutt, Mulbagal On 1st May 2007, Swamiji was invited by Sri Vignanatheertha Swamigal of Sri Padamja Mutt, Mulbagal. Swamiji reached the temple at 10 AM and was received with Poornakumbham. In view of the Swamiji’s Golden Jubilee celebrations, 108 Kalasa Milk Abhishekam & Swarna Abhishekam was performed to Narasimhar. After Pooja, Mulbagal Swamigal honoured our Guruji with shawl. Prasadam was served to all. Guruji had lunch with Mulbagal Swamigal and after which Mulbagal Swamigal gave a lecture on Guru Bhakti.

2007 New Year Celebrations at Ashram 1st January 2007, Monday started with all the usual fervour, with hundreds of devotees lined up the queue and waited for their turn to get blessings from Poojya Shri Kamakshi Swamiji. Ganapathi Homam, Avahantri Homam & Dhanvantri Homam were performed for the general benefit of humankind and Universal peace. Kamakshi Darshan the official news letter of Shri Swarna Kameshwari Seva Sangh was released by Swamiji. The audience were treated with devotional songs by Gnanamuthu. Guruji concluded the program with his divine discourse. He mentioned that 2007 will be a good year for Hindu religion & Culture. He also said 2007 is a very significant year as 2+0+0+7 = “9� is the highest unique number in the numerical system & also Ambal's number like Nava Durga, Nava Matruka, Nava Kannika, Navakshri etc. Swamiji enquired about the land identification for the temple and blessed them to start efforts in full swing after Uttrayanam (Jan 14th). He abundantly graced all the devotees and wished them well for the year ahead. Annadhanam was served for all.

Bangalore & Dharmapuri Trip On March 09th & 10th 2006, Swamiji visited the ‘Ashram’ of Sri Padaraja mutt (Mulbagal Mutt) to meet swamiji Sri Narasimha Theertha. He was given rousing reception by the Mutt and Temple Authorities with Poorna Kumbam amidst chanting of mantras and Vedas. Both spoke about the present day culture, religion and state of affairs, uneasiness due to terrorism and natural calamities like tsunami in the world.
